Legs and Back

Last night I did the legs and back exercise. So that means that today my legs and back are sore. This was an intense workout. I was able to make it though the whole 1:15 workout doing every exercise. It feels like I am getting stronger since I can do more reps then the first time doing this exercise.

Also, I am going to add more to my workout routine. I am going to start doing about 30 minutes in the morning on my elliptical and when it gets a bit warmer go for a little run outside. By doing this I will be able go get my cardio and strength training done at the same time.

Yo

Ok so I didn't have time to post over the weekend but rest assured I did my work outs. I did Plyo, Arms and shoulders, and Chest and Back. I am feeling good about these workouts now. I am not a sore like I was after the first weeks exercises. I am going to stay on top of these workouts so i can see the results.

Kenpo X

I just got done doing the Kenpo X workout. This workout was intense. It was about 40 minutes of non stop punching and kicking. Now I know why MMA fighters are in such good shape lol. This was a lot of fun and can't wait to do this again.

On another note, I know this is only the 6th workout in two week of me doing P90X but it has been busy for me lately (Superbowl, Valentines day, me being sick). But now that I have officially done the first week of workouts, I am promising you I am going to stay on track. From what I see online, the second time around for each workout is easier then the first. Also, I am starting to eat healthier in combination with P90X. I still believe I can accomplish my goal of losing 30lbs in the 90 days of doing P90X.

Legs and Back

This afternoon I did the legs and back exercise. It went really well. It was a hard but rewarding exercise. My legs are burring but that's a good thing. I am finally getting my P90X routine down.

Arms and Shoulders

So I just finished the arms and shoulders workout, and I am going to have to say it was my favorite workout yet. This workout was not too hard but also not easy at all. I can defiantly feel the burn. I am looking forward to doing this exersise again.

Back on track

So last night I got back on track with my workouts. I took a little hiatus over Superbowl weekend but now I am back and focused on the results.

Last night I did the Yoga workout. This workout had me stretching in some very unique ways. But I got though it and ready to tackle arm's and shoulder's tonight.

Pain

Ok so becides the fact that my legs hurt from Plyo, I still went and walked the Phoenix Open on Thursday and volunteered working concesstion on Friday. Now every step I take feels like my legs are going to give out from the pain. I guess this puts meaning to the phrase "no pain no gain."

Because of these activities I did not do P90x today. The program gives you a day to rest so I am just going to take that now and not on day 7.

Day Two Plyo

So day two is Plyometrics. I just got done with this workout and it kicked my a**. This working is a lot of squats, lunges, and jumps. It gets your heart rate up and your legs burring. I stuck with it though and now I can barely make it up my stairs lol. I am hope I can do better at this next week.

Day two down, bring on day three!!!

The day after

So today is the day after the first workout of my P90X program. I am going to have to say, I feel sore today.  lol

The workout was tough but I think in the end it will be worth it. The "chest and back" workout consisted of many different sets and types of push ups and pull ups. Of course I did not do as many as they did on the DVD but I was told you just need to do as much as you can/feel comfortable with then try to beat it next time.

Here is a brief overview of what I was instructed to do for this video:
  1. 5-6 minutes of stretching exercises.
  2. 30 minutes of alternating push up and pull up exercises
  3. 2 minutes break
  4. Do the 30 minutes of alternating push up and pull up exercises again.
Because I was out of breath after the fist session of 30 minutes, I did not attempt the second session.

According to the workout regimen, you also need to do the "ab ripper" exercise on day one.
I was able to work my way though this one but of course at a much slower pace.

All in all it was a good workout and I am looking forward to day 2.

First night of P90X

Ok so I just got the P90X DVDs today and I am going to start the first DVD tonight. I am going to use this blog to follow my struggles and hopefully successes with the P90X program. Does P90X work? We are going to find out.
